Malaysia, Japan & Singapore
When a client’s adult daughter set off travelling in Asia, he saw an opportunity to fly out and join her for the final chapter of her journey. He already had friends in Kuala Lumpur and knew that part of the trip was in safe hands, but wanted specialist help to shape an unforgettable Japan and Singapore itinerary.
That is where my flexible service came in. While he kept full control of his time in Kuala Lumpur, I designed and booked a tailor‑made Japan itinerary and a short break in Singapore around it, drawing on my own first‑hand experience in both destinations. It meant he could blend the comfort of staying with friends with the reassurance of a professionally planned multi‑stop journey.
From Tokyo, the trip unfolded largely by rail, using Japan’s famous Shinkansen trains for a classic Japan rail itinerary: travelling down to Hiroshima, continuing via Himeji to Kyoto, then into the mountains of Hakone with a Hakone Freepass for ferries, cable cars and lakeside viewpoints. City stays were balanced with a traditional ryokan experience at Tensui Saryo in Hakone, complete with tatami rooms, kaiseki dinners and a private open‑air onsen bath, plus a full‑day private guide in Kyoto to bring the temples, gardens and backstreets to life at an easy pace.
After a final night near Tokyo Haneda for a smooth departure, he flew on to Singapore for a luxurious few days at Pan Pacific Orchard Singapore: sky‑high pools, green terraces, easy access to Orchard Road and evenings spent exploring the city’s food scene and waterfront. All flights, rail segments, passes, hotels and guiding for the Japan and Singapore sections were taken care of, leaving him free to simply enjoy travelling with his daughter.
This trip is a great example of how I can support you with part or all of your travels. Whether you already have elements arranged with friends and family, or you prefer to keep some sections DIY, my flexible travel planning service means I can step in where you would like more guidance and use my first‑hand knowledge to make the rest of the journey flow.
